So, how do you decide which Common App essay prompts are the best this year?Well, some of the Common App essay prompts seem a little predictable to me. For example, I feel like the 'am I so smart?' question is pretty much the same every year, which is to find out:What is my current and recent interest in? What's the difference between my interests and my passions? Is there any connection between my interests and my work at home?And what did you know about this person before you got to know them through your favorite band? How was this person before their interest in your band became your passion? What was this person like before they became your favorite band member?I think that some of the Common App essay prompts will be almost identical to last year. So, as a student, what are your thoughts on this? What's changed or improved since last year?One thing that I noticed was some major changes. The questions and prompts in the College Writing Center seemed to be more open-ended, and more in line with what the Common App is supposed to be. But, I've heard that the Common App is also testing students to see how their essays are written, by allowing them to take quizzes that will test them on their writing skills.In summary, it looks like Common App essay prompts will be pretty similar to last year, although I think some of the prompts will be a little bit different. But, I think it will still be very similar.
